Someone at google must be singing this song in their head, mustn't they?

Ars states that The Data Liberation Front could be seen as savvy marketing, I easily agree with that, I myself am falling in the trap talking about it, after all. :)

However, this is a case when even a wary dude like me stops asking Is that only for marketing?, do they feel people don't trust the cloud enough?, have they realized that to make the animal enter the cage you have to leave it a let-out?.

No, I will leave them in peace liberating the user data. Kudos to google!
Let's hope the other web and social network titans will do the same.
